Chris Baker
Chris studied Physics and Economics before starting his career in market research at BMRB. He joined Saatchi & Saatchi’s nascent account planning department in 1981, becoming Deputy Head of Planning in 1988.
He became a founder and Planning Director of Bainsfair Sharkey Trott (BST.BDDP) in 1990 with subsequent mergers taking him to senior planning roles at GGT.BDDP, then TBWA, before forming Bacon in 2008.
Chris edited ‘Advertising Works’ Vols 7 & 8 and has won several IPA awards, including Golds and Special Prizes for Integration for both the launch of the Central London Congestion Charge and Digital Switchover. He is a Fellow of the IPA, and IPA Awards mentor and was a full member of the Market Research Society.
His work at Bacon spans many different brands and businesses, big and small, much of it necessarily in the digital space. In his spare time he is a Director of Ealing Golf Club, where he also looks after marketing.
